In a powerful move to address the urgent needs of today’s youth, Dare To Be Youth (DTBY) Charity is proud to announce the launch of its 2025–2028 Strategic Plan: A Roadmap to Sustainable Expansion and Impact. Supported by the UWHH Seed Grant, this three-year vision is the culmination of months of listening, collaboration, and a steadfast commitment to empowering young people as the architects of their own futures.

A Story of Listening, Learning, and Leading

At the heart of DTBY’s new strategy is a simple but transformative belief: youth are the experts of their own lives. This plan was shaped by the voices of youth, volunteers, community partners, and leaders—each contributing to a shared vision of a world where every young person has the support, skills, and confidence to thrive.

“Every decision we make and each action we take will be firmly rooted in these values,” says Shannon Tobin, Founder and CEO. “Our mission remains steady: to leverage our expertise in creating and supporting mentoring relationships that spark the potential and promise of youth.”

Today’s youth face unprecedented challenges: a mental wellness crisis, widening financial literacy gaps, and the need for resilience in an uncertain world. DTBY’s plan is a direct response—prioritizing early intervention and safe spaces over crisis management and focusing on prevention rather than reaction.
