The purchase of a Unity Box will also sponsor one student to attend the 2023 Youth Inspire CommUNITY Day (YICD). This event will provide high school students with a lasting source of inspiration to take action and transform their communities, as well as provide them with the tools to do so.
Each Unity Box will contain the following:
- A book of inspirational stories and art expressions created by Halton Youth
- An exclusive, high-quality Unity shirt designed by the Indigenous artist Chantelle Trainor-Matties
- A ticket to Youth Inspire CommUNITY Day November 5th
From each purchase made $2 will go to Chantelle, $3 will go to an Indigenous Youth Program, $3 will go to Halton Black Voices and $50 will sponsor a student to attend YICD.
Chantelle Trainor-Matties is a visual artist from British Columbia with Nisga’a and Métis heritage who specializes in illustration, graphic design, and painting. Watch the video story behind the 2022 unity shirt design – watch now.
She created our Unity art piece which was the main theme for our 2022 Youth Inspire Community Day and was featured on a limited edition t-shirt.
$2 will go to support Chantelle, the Indigenous artist who designed our exclusive logo, and $3 will go to an Indigenous Youth Organization. $3 will go to Halton Black Voices
